Admission Requirements FOR ALL STUDENTS

To be enrolled in Amlotus Program, Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

IEP (Intensive English Program)

  1. AGE – Applicant must be at least 17 years of age by the time he/she starts school.
  2. HSD or GED/TASC– A copy of High School Diploma or Transcripts that indicate a high school graduation date; College Diploma or Transcripts; OR GED (General Education Diploma) /TASC (If the document is not in English, it must be translated into English.)

* Students who enroll for one-on-one English tutoring are not required to have a HSD or GED/TASC.

Overseas Initial Student

F-1 international students must enroll in a full course of study, 18 hours or more per week, to maintain an F-1 student status. In order to issue a Form I-20 (“Certificate of Eligibility”), we must receive the documents from you as follows;

  1. Complete an international student application form for SEVIS I-20 and submit it via on-line. Non-refundable $50 USD payment for course registration fee and $450 USD payment for SEVIS I-20 application and F-1 Visa Process fee will be applied at the time of submission. 
  1. Register and make payment for an AmLotus Full-time Intensive Academic and ESL Language Program via wire transfer, PayPal, or money order.
  1. Send us required supporting documents.
    – A completed international student application signed and dated
    – Affidavit of Support Form completed and signed from parents and/or sponsor(s) from each financial provider which stats that they will be the financial providers for the student’s studies at Amlotus, LLC.
    – Bank Certified letter(s) or Statement showing enough funds (*) to cover the student’s financial needs for his/her duration of study at Amlotus including tuition, books and supplies, and living expenses. It must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of registration.
    (* Estimate of expenses for students enrolled in Amlotus Intensive ESL Programs for an academic year is $15,000.00 US dollars. If you have a dependent(s), the amount of $7,500.00 US dollars for a spouse, and (or) the amount of $5,000.00 US dollars for each child must be added respectively.)
    Prices may change due to course selection. Tuition may also change, depending which courses you are registering for.
    – Valid Passport – It must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of expiration.
    – US $50.00 payment for the application fee

4. Receive an I-20 form from Amlotus. Please be advised that it takes 2-3 weeks to process your SEVIS I-20 request. SEVIS I-20 will be mailed to you by Express Mail. You may also request us to send your SEVIS I-20 to someone in the U.S or have someone to pick it up on your behalf.

  1. Visit www.fmjfee.comand pay the SEVIS I-901 Fee that is required by the US Homeland Security Department. You must complete it before you have a visa interview at the Embassy.
  1. Apply for your F-1 visa in your home country. Visit www.usembassy.govfor the information about a list of the closest U.S. Consulate or Embassy and how to prepare a visa interview.
  1. Come to the U.S. Please be advised that you will not be allowed by Immigration to enter the U.S. anytime earlier than 30 days before your classes start.
  1. Report your arrival to Amlotus School within 3 days after your arrival.
  1. Schedule an appointment for the placement test and attend our New Student Orientation.
  1. Start your courses at AmLotus.

Transfer Student

Any F-1 student who has maintained his/her status as indicated in immigration regulations is eligible for a school transfer. An F-1 student who did not pursue a full course of study at the school he or she previously attended is ineligible for school transfer and must file a reinstatement at a transfer-in school.

  1. Complete an international student application form for SEVIS I-20 and submit it via on-line or in person at AmLotus along with $50 USD payment for registration fee.
  2. Submit us required supporting documents
    – Transfer release form
    – Copy of previously issued Form I-20
    – Copy of I-94 printout. Should you need help: Go to: (I94.cbp.dhs.gov)
    – Copy of a valid passport and visa pages (I-797 Approval Notice for COS students)
    – High school diploma or college transcripts/diploma
    – Proof of financial support (must include an affidavit of support along with a bank statement)
  1. Schedule an appointment for the placement test and register and make payment for an AmLotus Full-time Intensive Academic and ESL Language Program
  2. Attend our New Student Orientation and start your course Amlotus.

Change of Status (Change of Status to F-1)

  1. Complete an international student application form for SEVIS I-20 and submit it via on-line or in person at AmLotus along with $50 USD payment for registration fee.
  1. Submit required supporting documents
    – A completed Form I-539 (Application to Extend/Change Non-Immigrant Status)
    – I-539 Application fee of $370 money order payable to U.S Department of Homeland Security
    – Biometric Fee of $85 money order payable to U.S Department of Homeland Security
    – Receipt for Form I-901 (Student /exchange Visitor Processing Fee of $200)
    – A copy of your I-94 (Arrival/Departure Record) webpage: cbp.gov/I-94
    – A copy of your valid passport (at least 6 months before the expiration date)
    – A copy of your visa
    – Supporting financial documents
    – Affidavit of support: The affidavit of support should be included with the package. In the event that a company organization is sponsoring, you must submit the certificate that states the name and connection of the person that is sponsoring you. (This document is for an applicant only, who needs a sponsor to support his/her finance for the duration of study.)
    – High School or higher Education Diploma
    – Letter of Intent
    – Proof of U.S. Residence
    – Foreign Residence and Foreign Employment (if applicable)
    – $450 COS processing fee & $25 shipping fees (if school processes it on behalf of the student)
    – $50 non-refundable registration fee for the program

You must file your application to the Immigration and Naturalization Service. We review your completed application to make sure all required documents are enclosed. Should you have all documents, you will mail the application to the service center by express mail to:

Reinstatement Student

  1. F-1 international students who have admitted to the United States must maintain a legal status and must have the responsibility to abide all immigration policies governing such status .Any violation of the regulations will cause students to be “OUT OF STATUS.”   If you become out of status, you have two ways to regain status:

    1. To apply for reinstatement OR
    2. Depart the U.S. and seek a new admission to the U.S with a new F-1 status.

    Please be advised that the process of regain valid F-1 status can be challenging. In the event that you apply for Reinstatement, the USCIS will adjudicate your reinstatement application.

    You are eligible for reinstatement if you can verify:

    1. The violation of status happened beyond your control AND
    2. You are currently seeking a full course of study at Amlotus

    For filing reinstatement, you must submit:
    – A completed Form I-539
    – New Form I-20 from Amlotus (You MUST register for new classes and pay your tuition in full.)
    – Acceptance Letter given by Amlotus
    – Letter of Intent specifying the causes and reasons you became out of status
    – Copy of your I-94(Arrival/Departure Record) webpage: cbp.gov/I-94
    – Copy of your valid passport (at least 6 months before the expiration date)
    – Copy of your visa
    – Bank Statements that include most current 3 months transactions.
    – A Money Order for $370.00 dollars payable to: U.S. Department of Homeland Security
    – A receipt for Form I-901 fee ($200.00).  It is required to pay again for losing your status.
    – Biometric fee for $85.00 dollars payable to: U.S. Department of Homeland Security
    – $450 reinstatement process fee & $25 shipping fees (if school processes it on behalf of the student)
