Michael Sacks (Amlotus Language School) is the best teacher I have experienced having classes with so far.
He pays... attention to every student in the class, open to any questions/suggestions, always makes the class exciting with the activities, questions, sharing his own experience, being genuine, open minded, caring, full of positive vibes every class (what I appreciate more than a lot), understanding, funny, enthusiastic, passionate about giving us knowledge, helping us meeting our goals in learning English and in life in general, supporting, using his personal time to actually understand what’s in our minds by talking to us one-on-one, asking how he can improve himself in order we feel better in the class and learning English, putting himself in our shoes, being always in touch when we need him. Students see it and there is always a nice friendly atmosphere in the group, what makes them look forward to attend the class. His way of teaching is both effective and fun.read more

I absolutely LOVE this school! My cousin came to the United States and wanted to improve her English and while doing my... research, I came across this school and decided to find our more information. Everyone at the school are so helpful and caring about each one of their students. From the agents Farida and Joel, to the teachers, and administration. They are invested in their students well being, education, and immigration status. I highly recommend this school. They treated my cousin as if they were family I am glad I picked this school for her.read more

I want to say thank you to AmLotus! I studied here TOEFL preparation program from March till August. I was lucky enough... to be in classes of Stella Mun and DJ Kim. They are really know how to train students to get required score, and even higher. For example, my desirable score was 83, but I got 93. It was my first exam of Toefl and first Toefl preparation program. When I receive my scores I was surprised to see higher scores than I expected! I believe that my success is result of teachers‘ top level professionalism!read more

It is One of the best English Language School in NYC.Teachers and staffs were very friendly and thoughtful. When I... asked something, they gave us the right tips and even more. The best school for your toefl exam preparation。First，Stella is an excellent teacher who teaches us writing and... listening，and she is sososo beautiful，she teaches us a lot of strategies such as how to train our ears，how to sum up the paragraph and so on…she is editing all the students essays and she is so responsible for us！Last time，she just stopped me and edited the essay even she didnt eat lunch，l was so touched！l am so glad to meet this kind of great teacher！
Also，DJ is teaching us reading and speaking，he is great and funny，l love his classes a lot！
Julia is a great teacher from ivy league school，she is so cute and always explains everything，she also so passion for her teaching！She always gives me a lot of motivation！

This is my first time to study TOEFL, I’m so glad that I have choose this warm place!
the administrator Joel is very... helpful and introduces the courses clearly,and the tuition is reasonable.
Stella and D.J are our main TOEFL teacher,and Julia is the substitute teacher for D.J ‘s honeymoon trip~
Stella teaches us listening and writing class,she has a lot of passion in teaching!she teach a lot of useful skills,and offer many practices, be very patient to answer every student’s questions and keep checking everybody is understand or not.
D.J teaches us reading and speaking class,he is very funny and good at drawing ~
In the reading class,he usually use drawing to explain some meaning of the lecture, to let students understand easily!
In the speaking class,he is good at categories questions, and repeat the important point many times to let us keep in mind.
I’m in Julia’s class second time,she is awesome!she speaks fluent native English ,and she is good at motivating student‘s imagination.
I love this place so much!
