QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT
Instructional Personnel:
Faculty who teach EFL/ESL teacher training program- TESOL Certificate
- Master’s degree or higher in TESL/TEFL/TESOL – If master’s degree is not in (T)ESL/(T)EFL, Faculty who teach EFL/ESL teacher training program must have TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate that includes instruction as follows; (language teaching methodology, the nature of language/languages, the structure of English, second language acquisition, intercultural communication, practicum experiences)
- Minimum 2 year teaching experience in a post secondary language program or institution
- Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
- Successful execution of demonstration lesson
- Ability to use a variety of teaching tools to ensure maximum learning
- Adequate knowledge, good ethics, and expertise in a required career
Language teaching Faculty who teach courses at level 1 to 5
- Bachelor’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher
- In cases where the bachelor’s degree is not (T)ESL/(T)EFL/(T)ESOL, language teaching faculty in this category (ESL level 1 to 5) must have TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate that includes instruction as follows;(language teaching methodology, the nature of language/languages, the structure of English, second language acquisition, intercultural communication, practicum experiences)
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience in a post secondary language program or institution
- Basic computer skills

Language teaching Faculty who teach courses at level 6 and an advanced writing course at level 5
- Master’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher in TESL/TEFL/TESOL
- If master’s degree is not in (T)ESL/(T)EFL, language teaching faculty in this category (ESL level 6) must have TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate that includes instruction as follows;(language teaching methodology, the nature of language/languages, the structure of English, second language acquisition, intercultural communication, practicum experiences)
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience in a postsecondary language program or institution
- Basic computer skills
- Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
- Successful execution of demonstration lesson
- Ability to use a variety of teaching tools to ensure maximum learning
