Instructional Personnel

Instructional Personnel:

  1. Language teaching Faculty who teach courses at level 1 to 5
  • Bachelor’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher
  • In cases where the bachelor’s degree is not (T)ESL/(T)EFL/(T)ESOL, language teaching faculty in this category (ESL level 1 to 5) must have TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate that includes instruction as follows;
  • Language teaching methodology
  • The nature of language/languages
  • The structure of English
  • Second language acquisition
  • Intercultural communication
  • Practicum experience
  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience in a postsecondary language program or institution
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the English language
  • Successful execution of demonstration lesson
  • Ability to use a variety of teaching tools to ensure maximum learning

  • Master’s degree as the baseline qualification or higher in TESL/TEFL/TESOL
  • If master’s degree is not in (T)ESL/(T)EFL, language teaching faculty in this category (ESL level 6) must have TESL/TEFL/TESOL certificate that includes instruction as follows;
  • Language teaching methodology
  • The nature of language/languages
  • The structure of English
  • Second language acquisition
  • Intercultural communication
